This piece started as a small sand dollar.

Somewhere along the way it softened into something that feels almost like a flower.

You might see the ocean in it.

Or something a little more delicate. It really depends on what feels closer to you.

The base is hand carved from natural labradorite.

A light, gentle grey that opens into soft blue as the light moves across the surface.

At the center, I set a small opal.

It brings a quiet point of light and gives the piece a soft glow from within.

The bail is solid 14k gold.

Simple and warm, keeping the focus on the stone.

It feels especially beautiful in natural light.

The tones stay soft and calm, with moments of blue appearing as it catches the sun.
